This EP marks a debut for the short-spoken artist Leon Herring from Slovakia who says his roots are in the drone–noise scene. But do not worry: this record is not the one which you may fall asleep while listening to. The first track is a real techno assault, so tough and merciless it can top any trap or grime track (or whatever is trendy nowadays) in it’s roughness. It just grabs the listener and throws him into the world of mechanic rhythm, poisonous acid bass and haunted noises.
The second track is like an echo which is meant for some chill for the overheated mind. It creates a calming atmospere of the tropical forest and that is where the title of the EP comes from. The sound production is so impressive we are left with the doubt whether Leon Herring is a real person or it is just an alias for some other much more known sound producer. Этот EP стал дебютным релизом для немногословного артиста из Словакии, представившегося большим ценителем дрон–нойза. Однако не стоит беспокоиться, ведь засыпать, внимая длительным гудениям, сегодня не придется. Первый трек – это настоящая техно-атака, которая по своей жесткости и целенаправленности уделывает любой грайм и трэп (или что там еще сейчас модно?). Без лишних сантиментов, он вырывает слушателя из повседневности и вбрасывает его в безжалостный мир механистичного ритма, ядовитого кислотного баса и призрачных шумов.
Второй трек, подобный эху, призван дать остыть перегретому сознанию, создав атмосферу ливня в тропическом лесу. Звук настолько впечатляет, что даже рождает сомнение: уж не скрывается ли за именем Leon Herring какой-то другой, более именитый саунд-продюсер? Очередной обязательный релиз на Liminal Recs.
